Collected rugs are always booked in and ID tagged, this prevents any confusion and ensures that you receive back the rug you gave to us, only looking like new!

We will arrange collection on a date, time and location to suit you. Once collected we ID tag your rugs for easy identification and list your requirements for cleaning and re-proofing and repairing.

Your rugs are washed to the manufacturers recommended instructions in large commercial washing machines that have been programmed to give the best results on all types of horse rug, even heavily soiled items.

All rugs are washed using “Nikwax”, the leading, professional washing and proofing liquid.

If it is required, we can re-proof your turnout rugs to make sure your horse remains dry and comfortable.
The re-proofing process is carried out in the washing machine which means that all the rug is treated, the
outer, inner wadding and lining. Tthe re-proofing liquid adds or renews water repellency and also revives
breathability of horse rugs which helps maintain insulation, keeping your horse warm.

The frequency of re-proofing depends on the age of the rug; a re-proofing treatment should last for a
season and is recommended to be done each year.

All rugs are then air dried either outside or over our heated rug airers to ensure the rug keeps its natural shape and no shrinking occurs. Once the rugs are dry they are carefully folded, wrapped up and returned back to you as good as new!
